Petite Casbah

Petite Casbah is a limited series produced at l’Enclume in Brussels. It tells the story of a small girl caught up in an adventure in Algiers just before the Algerian war of independence. It's a small very human story, i highly recommend it.

I joined the lay-out team midway through. The supervisor was Jean Claude Sohier. The layouts were detailed greyscales which had all the layers of the final bg-painting set up. This way the color artists could make a color version faster and play around with texture, atmosphere and light.
